Quincy Jones Estate Cashes In With Catalog Sale Including Stakes In Michael Jackson’s “Thriller,” “Off the Wall,” and “Bad”

The Quincy Jones estate has sold a major catalog stake as part of a new acquisition agreement with investment firm HarbourView.

The deal covers selected recorded music and publishing rights tied to the legendary producer’s catalog, which spans decades of groundbreaking work across jazz, pop, and R&B.

According to Vibe, the acquisition includes Jones’ stakes in three landmark Michael Jackson albums that he produced: “Off the Wall,” “Thriller,” and “Bad.” The deal also includes Jones’ famous instrumental composition “Soul Bossa Nova,” a track widely recognized by many listeners as the theme from the Austin Powers films.

Jones died in November 2024 at the age of 91 after building one of the most influential careers in modern music. His impact stretched far beyond recording studios because he also helped shape television and media culture. Jones served as an executive producer on “The Fresh Prince of Bel-Air” and also co-founded Vibe Magazine.

However, the catalog’s reach extends into other major records that sampled his work. HarbourView will also hold a stake in songs that drew from Jones’ writing, including Ye’s 2007 single “Good Life” and Tupac Shakur’s 1996 hit “How Do U Want It.”

Jones’ daughter, Rashida Jones, reflected on the scale of her father’s influence while discussing the deal.

“Long before anyone talked about ‘multi-platform,’ he was already building bridges and connecting the dots across music, film, television, publishing, technology, and culture, creating iconic juggernauts like ‘Thriller,’ ‘The Color Purple,’ ‘The Fresh Prince of Bel-Air,’ and Vibe,” she said.

She also explained that the family remains focused on protecting Jones’ legacy and creative work.

“HarbourView understands that legacy and has the vision and expertise to help ensure that future generations can feel the full scope of his everlasting impact,” she said.

Along with the catalog acquisition, HarbourView will collaborate with the estate on the use of Jones’ name, image, and likeness while his children continue working to protect his legacy from misuse involving artificial intelligence.

Prince Harry and Meghan Markle have responded to “deranged” excerpts from a new royal book containing explosive allegations about them.

The upcoming book, “Betrayal: Power, Deceit and the Fight for the Future of the Royal Family,” written by Tom Bower, claims Queen Camilla, 78, privately told a friend that Markle had “brainwashed” Harry amid the royal family’s feud.

The book also claims the Sussexes’ relationship worried Prince William, 43, and Kate Middleton, 44, who allegedly feared Harry was under Markle’s influence and their whirlwind romance was moving too fast.

In response to the book’s claims, however, a spokesperson for the Duke, 41, and Duchess of Sussex, 44, told Page Six, “Mr Bower’s commentary has long crossed the line from criticism into fixation. This is someone who has publicly stated, ‘The monarchy in fact depends on actually obliterating the Sussexes from our state of life,’ language that speaks for itself.”

They continued, “[Bower] has made a career out of constructing ever more elaborate theories about people he does not know and has never met. Those interested in facts will look elsewhere; those seeking deranged conspiracy and melodrama know exactly where to find him.”

Snippets from the book that appeared in the Times on Friday also claims former Invictus Foundation chief Dominic Reid worried that competitors were being eclipsed and the sport had morphed into “the Harry and Meghan show.”

The claim alleges poor event attendance and suggests that players and their families were being overshadowed by orchestrated photo ops.

Responding to that particular claim, however, a spokesperson for the Invictus Games Foundation told Page Six, “It is disappointing to see The Times give prominence to commentary that appears driven by a long-established agenda rather than a genuine understanding of the Invictus Games and the community it supports.”

“The Foundation exists to support the recovery and rehabilitation of wounded, injured and sick service personnel and veterans from around the world.”

They concluded, “Attempts to question the legitimacy of competitors or diminish the experiences of those living with both physical injuries and invisible wounds such as PTSD are deeply disrespectful to the men and women the Games were created for.”

“The focus should remain where it belongs – on the courage, recovery and camaraderie of those who have served.”

FBI Warns Iran May Attempt Drone Attack on California From Vessel Off U.S. Coast

Federal authorities recently alerted law enforcement agencies across California about a potential drone threat connected to escalating tensions with Iran.

An internal alert shared with police departments states that Iranian actors may have considered launching unmanned aerial vehicles from a vessel positioned off the U.S. West Coast. According to the bulletin reviewed by ABC News, the possible attack scenario involved drones aimed at unspecified locations in California if the United States carried out military strikes against Iran.

“We recently acquired information that as of early February 2026, Iran allegedly aspired to conduct a surprise attack using unmanned aerial vehicles from an unidentified vessel off the coast of the United State Homeland, specifically against unspecified targets in California, in the event that the US conducted strikes against Iran,” the alert said. “We have no additional information on the timing, method, target, or perpetrators of this alleged attack.”

The notice circulated as the Trump administration began military strikes against Iran. Since then, Iranian forces have responded with drone attacks targeting locations across the Middle East.

Officials in California say they are closely coordinating with federal partners as the situation develops. A spokesperson for the FBI’s Los Angeles office declined to comment publicly, and the White House did not immediately respond to requests for comment.

California Governor Gavin Newsom’s office confirmed state emergency officials are working alongside federal and local law enforcement.

“The Governor’s Office of Emergency Services is actively working with state, local, and federal security officials to protect our communities,” a spokesperson said.

The Los Angeles County Sheriff’s Department also confirmed it has heightened patrol activity.

“Out of an abundance of caution, and in recognition of current religious observances, the Department has continued increased patrols around places of worship, cultural institutions, and other prominent locations throughout the County,” the department said.

Security experts also warn that growing access to drone technology, including by criminal groups, has expanded the range of potential threats facing U.S. authorities.

The Trump administration is asking the U.S. Supreme Court to allow it to end deportation protections for hundreds of thousands of Haitian migrants currently living in the United States.

According to Reuters, in an emergency filing Wednesday, the Justice Department requested that the nation’s highest court overturn a lower court ruling that blocked the administration’s attempt to terminate Temporary Protected Status, known as TPS, for Haitians. The request could affect more than 350,000 people who have been living and working legally in the U.S. under the humanitarian program.

TPS allows migrants to remain in the United States when conditions in their home countries make it unsafe to return. The designation provides temporary protection from deportation and work authorization for eligible individuals.

The legal fight centers on a decision made in November 2025 by then–Department of Homeland Security Secretary Kristi Noem, who concluded there were “no extraordinary and temporary conditions” preventing Haitian migrants from returning to Haiti. That conclusion has been widely contested given the ongoing violence and instability in the Caribbean nation.

The U.S. State Department currently advises Americans not to travel to Haiti, warning of “kidnapping, crime, terrorist activity, civil unrest, and limited healthcare.”

Trump’s administration has pushed aggressively to narrow immigration protections since returning to office in January 2025 as part of a broader push toward mass deportations. Officials have argued that TPS was always intended to be temporary and should not serve as a long-term immigration solution.

The administration has already moved to terminate TPS for migrants from several countries. In October, the Supreme Court allowed the government to end protections for hundreds of thousands of Venezuelans, and in February, the administration asked the justices to permit the removal of TPS protections for roughly 6,100 Syrians.

The Haiti case stems from a class-action lawsuit filed by Haitian migrants. U.S. District Judge Ana Reyes ruled on February 2 that the administration likely violated federal procedures and constitutional protections when it attempted to end the program.

Reyes wrote that plaintiffs allege the decision was influenced by “hostility to nonwhite immigrants,” adding that the claim “seems substantially likely.”

The Justice Department told the Supreme Court that repeated lower court blocks on TPS policy changes are harming national interests and foreign relations. The court asked the plaintiffs to respond to the administration’s request by next Monday.

TPS for Haitians was first granted in 2010 following the devastating earthquake that struck the country. The designation has been extended multiple times, most recently under former President Joe Biden, citing “simultaneous economic, security, political and health crises” in Haiti.

According to the International Organization for Migration, more than 1.4 million people in Haiti have been displaced by ongoing violence and instability.

Mickey Rourke claims he was forced to withhold nearly $60,000 in rent on his former Los Angeles rental home because the “living conditions” became “unacceptable.”

Rourke told Page Six in a statement Wednesday that there were “serious problems that repeatedly went unaddressed” despite his “efforts to have them fixed.”

He claimed there were “ongoing rodent issues” at the property that required multiple visits but were never fully resolved.

The “Sin City” star also alleged that the “bathroom and plumbing frequently did not work” and claimed that despite his repeated requests for repairs, “the problems continued and basic maintenance was never properly handled.”

Rourke, 73, concluded the statement by stating that “Withholding rent was not a decision [he] made lightly.”

“I simply could not continue paying for a house that was in such poor condition after so many attempts to have these issues corrected.”

Eric T. Goldie, the landlord of the Spanish style bungalow in Los Angeles, did not immediately return Page Six’s request for comment on Wednesday.

Court documents obtained by Page Six on Tuesday showed that Rourke was booted from the property after Goldie filed a complaint in Los Angeles County Superior Court.

The judgement was filed on Monday “by default” — meaning the “Iron Man 2” actor likely failed to respond to the filing before a court deadline or appear in court to address the matter.

Per the complaint, the order was for “possession only” of the residence, which means that Goldie was not seeking damages in the case.

Back in December, a court filing requested that Rourke be ordered to vacate the home in three days or pay Goldie $59,100 in back rent.

Rourke, 73, was subsequently spotted removing his dog and a bag of belongings from the house in January.

A U-Haul truck later appeared in the driveway, and friends were seen removing items in black trash bags, as well.

Page Six learned at the time that the “Celebrity Big Brother: UK” alum was lodging in a luxury hotel in West Hollywood, where room rates start at $550 per night.

A fundraiser was launched in Rourke’s name by Liya-Joelle Jones, which attempted to keep Rourke in the home by raising $100,000.

But Rourke emphatically denied involvement with the GoFundMe in an Instagram video.

The “frustrated” and “confused” actor insisted in the January upload that he didn’t ask for “f–king charity” and claimed he has “too much pride” to do so.

Rourke further claimed in the clip that he “wouldn’t know what a GoFund[Me] foundation is in a million years.”

“I’d rather stick a gun up my ass and pull the trigger … My life is very simple, I wouldn’t go to outside sources like that,” he declared in the Jan. 5 video.

His manger, Kimberly Hines, told TMZ in January that Rourke has been holding out for paychecks of at least $200,000 per day — despite a proliferation of job opportunities including live appearances, signings, indie films, and photo shoots.

New Edition has officially landed its first-ever nomination for the Rock & Roll Hall of Fame, a milestone the group says marks the fulfillment of a lifelong ambition. The Boston bred legends are featured on a star-studded 2026 ballot alongside industry titans like Mariah Carey, Wu-Tang Clan, and Lauryn Hill, with the final inductees set to be revealed this April.

Jennifer Runyon, known for her roles in “Ghostbusters,” “Charles in Charge,” “A Very Brady Christmas” and others, has died at the age of 65. 

As reported first by TMZ, the actress’ family shared an announcement on her Facebook page Sunday. “This past Friday night our beloved Jennifer passed away, it was a long and arduous journey that ended with her surrounded by her family,” it read. 

“She will always be remembered for her love of life and her devotion to her family and friends. I know from above she’s looking down on all of us with her beautiful smile. Rest in peace our Jenn.”

A representative for Runyon was not immediately available to Page Six. 

No cause of death was given; however, according to “Bewitched” actress Erin Murphy, who posted a tribute to her friend Runyon Sunday on social media, Runyon had been battling cancer. 

“So sad to share that my friend Jennifer Runyon Corman has passed away after a brief battle with cancer,” she wrote.

“Some people you just know you’ll be friends with before you even meet. She was a special lady,” she added. 

Runyon appeared in the 1984 classic movie “Ghostbusters” and was also well-known in the role of Gwendolyn Pierce on ’80s sitcom “Charles in Charge.” 

She played Cindy Brady in the 1988 movie “A Very Brady Christmas.”

Princess Eugenie resigned from her role with an anti-slavery charity, as the fallout from the Epstein emails continues.

The daughter of the former Prince Andrew, now known as Andrew Mountbatten-Windsor, and Sarah Ferguson, served for seven years as a patron of Anti-Slavery International.

On Sunday, the princess, 35, stepped away from her role at the world’s oldest human rights organization, the Observer reported.

“We thank the Princess very much for her support for Anti-Slavery International. We hope that she continues to work to end slavery for good and deliver freedom for everyone.”

A representative for Anti-Slavery International did not get back to Page Six when reached for comment.

The resignation comes weeks after Eugenie’s father was arrested on his 66th birthday last month over his ties to the late convicted pedophile Jeffrey Epstein.

The disgraced royal was arrested on suspicion of misconduct in public office for allegedly passing on confidential trade documents to Epstein.

He also allegedly had sex with Virginia Giuffre, who was trafficked by Epstein and his partner, Ghislaine Maxwell. Though Andrew vehemently denied the claims, he made a multi-million dollar payment to Giuffre.

Released emails revealed Andrew stayed in contact with Epstein years after he said that he’d cut ties.

Ferguson also shared a close relationship with Epstein.

New emails reveal she wrote many times that they should get married and called him “the brother I have always wished for.”

Eugenie and her older sister, Princess Beatrice, 37, have reportedly been told by the royal family that they cannot attend the upcoming Royal Ascot in June or the Royal Procession.

The siblings were allegedly “blindsided” by the decision.

The fallout from their parents’ alleged behavior has reportedly “devastated’ the sisters.

A major fumble.

Dak Prescott and his fiancée, Sarah Jane Ramos, have split just one month before their upcoming nuptials.

According to TMZ, the Dallas Cowboys quarterback and wine specialist called things off after an argument occurred during their joint bachelor and bachelorette parties in the Bahamas.

Ramos was the one to pull the plug, per the outlet.

A rep for Prescott didn’t immediately respond to Page Six’s request for comment.

Ramos previously posted a series of photos from her bachelorette party, captioning the shots, “I truly believe you can get through anything in life as long as you have really great friends. I love these girls so much.”

Weeks earlier, the Florida State University graduate gushed on Instagram that she “can’t wait to marry the love of my life” at their Italy wedding.

Both Instagram posts have since been deleted.

TMZ revealed that sources told them the relationship is beyond fixing and instead, the exes will focus on co-parenting their daughters, Margaret, 2, and Aurora, almost 10 months.

Ramos and Prescott were first linked in September 2023 after the mom-of-two was seen at one of the Cowboys player’s games against the New York Giants during football season.

Following the game, Ramos shared a shot of herself and Prescott hugging.

“#4 💙🩶,” she wrote over the picture, which showed Ramos sporting a leather Cowboys jacket.

In 2024, Ramos celebrated the quarterback becoming the highest-paid player in NFL history after earning a $240 million, four-year contract extension, according to NFL.com.

Shortly after news broke, she wrote on her Instagram Stories, “The most deserving man and the best partner and father. We love you.”

Prescott and Ramos welcomed their first child in February of that year, with the athlete telling reporters at a Children’s Cancer Fund event at the time, per USA Today, “I feel different.”

“When you wake up in the morning and you see that baby, you understand responsibilities,” he continued. “And everything that I’ve always wanted for myself, but you want that for somebody else even more.”

In October 2024, Prescott shared that he had popped the question to Ramos by posting an Instagram Story with their then 7-month-old.

In the photo, the former flames kissed while holding Margaret, who sported a onesie that read: “Hi Mommy, Daddy has a question for you!?”

“4ever w/ @sarahjane,” penned Prescott.

The proposal had taken place during the team’s bye week.

“I’m super excited,” Prescott discussed with reporters. “I’ve known it for a while. … I got the ring a few months ago. She had no idea. She’s a big golfer, thought we were going golfing. I told her that we had a lifetime to golf.”

“I had the ring in a fake golf ball,” he detailed. “I dropped it. She almost hit it. I’m just glad she said yeah. Super, super blessed and happy. Thankful for this family I’ve started.”

A heated dispute has emerged between the White House and the nation’s top intelligence agencies. 

Reports have surfaced that the Trump administration is currently stopping the FBI, Homeland Security, and the National Counterterrorism Center from issuing a critical warning to local law enforcement about rising terror threats linked to the ongoing conflict with Iran.

The agencies were reportedly set to release a joint intelligence statement this past Friday. The goal was to alert state and local authorities to a heightened threat level on U.S. soil. However, a senior DHS official claims the White House stepped in at the last minute to put the brakes on the five-page report, titled ‘A Public Safety Awareness Report: Elevated threat in the United States during US-Iran conflict‘.

The document, which was intended for official use by police departments nationwide, reportedly details “elevated threats by the government of Iran to US military and government personnel and facilities, Jewish and Israeli institutions and their perceived supporters, and Iranian dissidents and other anti-regime activists in the United States.

The bulletin didn’t just focus on foreign agents; it also warned that “radicalized individuals with a variety of ideological backgrounds also may see this conflict or other geopolitical events as a justification for violence.”

While the White House hasn’t denied holding up the report, spokeswoman Abigail Jackson stated they are simply “coordinating closely with all government agencies to ensure information being disseminated is accurate, up to date, and has been properly vetted — even if that means taking additional time to review to ensure nothing is done in a vacuum.

But insiders at DHS aren’t buying that explanation. One official argued that the White House is now demanding to review any unclassified information concerning Iran before it hits the streets. The move is being viewed by some as an attempt to avoid admitting that foreign policy decisions are impacting safety at home.

“The White House is now inserting themselves. This can have a chilling effect on keeping state and local law enforcement informed about ongoing terrorist threats to the homeland posed by Iran,” the official said. “They don’t want anything getting out that says what they’re doing in Iran is raising the threat level at home.”

Usually, these types of briefings are sent out without political oversight to ensure they remain unbiased. As the official noted, “Intelligence products for law enforcement are supposed to be neutral, and fact based.”

This internal power struggle comes at a high-stakes moment for the Department of Homeland Security, arriving just one day after the firing of Secretary Kristi Noem.

With the administration tightening its grip on communications, many are concerned that the flow of vital safety information to local “boots on the ground” law enforcement is being compromised for political optics.
